Not exactly what it looks like on our way to Grandmother’s house, but that’s where we’re headed for Thanksgiving.
So much to be thankful for.
Happy Thanksgiving !
The pope called unfettered capitalism a “new tyranny.” As Reuters reported, Francis “urged politicians to ‘attack the structural causes of inequality.’” He also called on rich people to share their wealth. “Just as the commandment ‘Thou shalt not kill’ sets a clear limit in order to safeguard the value of human life,” he said, “today we also have to say ‘thou shalt not’ to an economy of exclusion and inequality. Such an economy kills.” — New York Times, November 26, 2013
Francis may not yet see the light on the role of women in the world, but these words are encouraging.

What A Dream … Last night I dreamed that former Rolling Stones bass player Bill Wyman had died. I was asked to sit in for the band’s next performance. The instrument I was to use was a bass with eight strings — two for each of the regular four, tuned to E, A, D, G. I would be playing with a pick, and I told Mick Jagger that I hoped it would be alright if I diverted from Wyman’s consummate fingers-only style. Mick assured me that it would be fine. He was very friendly and most encouraging. What A Dream.
